Lunch Menu
All pupils eat with their friends in the school dining hall from Reception to Year 6, though the times are staggered through the lunchtime. Pupils eating our school dinners are encouraged to use cutlery appropriately.
All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive receive a FREE school meal every day.
The school catering company Food For Thought is responsible for the food provision at the school. Food for Thought(Merseyside) Ltd is a unique ‘not for profit’ healthy school meals caterer. It is a company owned and managed by its partner schools with any surplus created being re-invested in our local community schools. We encourage all our children to have a school meal. Parents are invited to school to share a school dinner with their child, at least once during the school year.
Every lunchtime, pupils have the choice of a hot meal as well as sandwiches and hot potatoes. From Year 1, pupils can also select a side salad themselves, and from Year 3, pupils also have the option to use the 'Wrap Bar'.
School dinners are payable in advance via ParentPay.
From September 2022, all Reception pupils will eat together with a school-made meal - packed lunches should not be sent into school. Children will always have the option to chose a sandwich. This decision has been taken by the Governors to encourage all children to have the opportunity to choose what they eat from an early age and to alleviate the stresses on a family of providing a nutritious packed lunch daily.
