The use of information and communication technology is an integral part of the national curriculum and is a key skill for everyday life. Computers, tablets, programmable robots, digital and video cameras are a few of the tools that can be used to acquire, organise, store, manipulate, interpret, communicate and present information.

At Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Primary School, we recognise that pupils are entitled to quality hardware and software and a structured and progressive approach to the learning of the skills needed to enable them to use it effectively.

  • Integration of computing Across the Curriculum: Utilise ICT and computing as versatile tools to enrich and enhance learning across all subjects, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to education.

Here are our lady of Walsingham we aim to involve families in educational activities that promote digital literacy, internet safety, and computer skills development within the household.

We are part of National College who provide resources that our families can access. That will educate them in the world of digital literacy and internet safety, through short courses and webinars.

We also promote @WakeupWednesday (Part of National College) parent guides that are shared across our social media platforms and on our website. This provides parents and children with easy to ready guidance on social media platforms, games, internet controls and how to promote a healthy mindset whilst on the internet.
